ABOUT +VIA+

ST. LOUIS, MO, Release: July 29, 2019.

“VIA”, Benjamin Jude’s sophomore release packs a punch. This 12-track studio album blends catchy and radio-friendly synthpop tones with the St. Louis-based worship leader’s angsty, grunge roots. This record follows Jude’s 2016 release “The Fire In Me”, which included his song “Flicker” and featured fellow worship leader and co-author Adam Bitter.

“VIA” is composed of 12 songs that range from the dance-tastic opener “Holy One” to the more meditative “Wildfires”, a collaboration with Los Angeles-based worship leader Francis Cabildo, and “Yours Alone”, both of which fit nicely into any corporate worship playlist. The song “Beloved”, which features Los Angeles-based singer and actress Kelsey Edwards, brings a more acoustic-based tone reminiscent of Ed Sheeran. The record closes with the steady-building “Lauda Sion”, an adaptation of the liturgical sequence composed by Thomas Aquinas in 1264. Though the composition and production of “VIA” crosses genres and spans generations, the songs are unified by the theme of the via crucis, the Way of the Cross.

As a worship leader and recording artist, Benjamin Jude has shared his music with events nationwide, partnering with Life Teen International, Steubenville Conferences, Catholic Creatives and more.
